daddy :"

Yesterday, I had a serious talk with my dad. And it's not our first serious talk, since I've talked a lot with him. Back to yesterday, it was me who first asked him about his job 10 years ago. I asked him, did he enjoy his work back in time?, ......., and blablabla. Why did I do it? Yeah, nothing because I want to figure out what it feels like to be a journalist, since I'm taking major communication in university. By choosing that major, I will either become a reporter, journalist, PR (Public Relation), news anchor, .....or announcer (THIS is what I REALLY want). I dug his advices and promised to myself "I'm gonna make you proud, Dad!" :") But the point is not about his experiences. I almost cried when he told me this :

Being a parent is the hardest job for me and your mom. Our job is more than sending three of you to the best school in town, giving you the finest clothes or gadgets, or other economic matter. It's not always about the money, the moral values we teach you, nor all religion rules you know since you were a kid. As a matter of fact, we have this responsibility to make sure you're all safe and live well in present also in the afterlife. That is the heaviest part, dear. But we're working on it (and we always will), and you can see that right?

...seriously when he finished telling me this, I got speechless. What could I say? Daddy....he is the best father in the world! He may not always fulfill my wishes, but he has taught me how to deal with choices in life, help me to reach my dreams, always push me to be a better person, and the most important is..... he's one of the person that I look up to. :") :")

You know, this kind of conversation always boost my spirit especially when I'm in lazy-mode-on. This reminds me that I have someone to talk to, someone who always support and love me no matter what, cause there is still a long road towards my dreams and I have to fight for it!

That's all for my parents, I'm gonna make 'em proud! :D
I love you dad,
I love you mom!
And my love for both of you will never change....

Your eldest daughter,
mbika :*
