Snow Leopard and Countries-hopping

"Beautiful things don't ask for attention."

I went to watch "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" yesterday with a friend of mine, who spent her Christmas and new year's break, here. It was unplanned, actually, but luckily she could stay until 7 PM and didn't leave me seeing the movie alone hahaha (it's okay for me though, if I had to see it, all by my-seeeelf).

When we were deciding which movie to see, there was "Frozen" who made a nominee. I've heard few positive reviews about "Frozen" but I didn't want to watch it that much. On the other side, my friend, having watch it one time, didn't mind if she watch the untypical Disney's movie twice. However the winner was, as I mentioned earlier, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (will be shortened as TSLWM).

In a short review, I would say TSLWM brought the similar effect to me like "(500) Days of Summer". That, hugely because of its great soundtrack. Each song and track matches the scene's visual also the physical tone. Quoting my friend's comment, TSLWM's scenes were being shot in a different way. I somehow believe, the team were willing to give their best.... and the result is beautiful scenes, pleasing for our eyes. We weren't able to feel this experience if we watched it through DVD or video streaming.

Some of my favorite scenes including:
- the beginning which features letters scattered on streets, ponds, and mountain (the latter isn't on the beginning part)
- the snow leopard..... or snow cat
- the countries-jumping journey
- the Central Park's skate kid
- when Walter started the other finding journey: his writing on the journal which is given by his Dad, the bus-like-metromini crowded space
- Walter's imagination (of course! Hahaha)

On the front-left: (annoying) manager of acquisition. Right: Walter Mitty.

TSLWM made me laugh and nearly cry. TSLWM caused me to shout 'keren' (cool) and 'parah'. And on top of other feelings, the movie made my friend and I stay sitting in our seats until the half-through of its credit title (I asked my friend to wait until the very final, but we ended up left when the credit title reaching half-through. Quite long that I got to figure out two of three Icelandic boys who appear in the movie, are brothers in real life).

I'm about to finish this post, lastly I want to say: Kudos to Jose Gonzales, who is being one of the movie's compositor, for your selection of music. Truly a genius mind. And happy 2k14, every one! This year will be better than 2k13!
