Why, July?

Songs on the playlist: Taking Back Sunday - What It Feel Like to be a Ghost, Paramore - Let the Flames Begin, Goo Goo Dolls - Before It's Too Late.

It’s such a shame because I actually had been started to write this post since July 14th, and today is July 31st, means that I have abandoned the file within 2 weeks. Not that I’m too lazy to finish the post, it’s just the internet always successfully attracts my attention to do other activities beside blogging......... This way, you can blame the internet haha! Well right, here I am now.

I tell you first, I’m not the kind of person who has certain favorite months of all 12 months in a year. I am more of a moment-recorder person. I record the good and bad memories, but I don't exactly remember when was it happened, the details about time is not really important for me (exceptional for birthdays and anniversaries of my beloved ones).

But if I have to choose, these three months will be my favorite: Ramadan month, September and December. The holy Ramadan month, which always comes 30 days earlier than its on the previous year, it has always been a pleasure for me to have a chance meeting the fasting month every year (notice the repetition for always and year). The early breakfast routines (it is called sahur), the struggle to hold thirst, hunger and anger, the unique rush hour between 5-7 PM, and the ability to not cussing things or people. What makes the one-month-battle worth it is the Eid ul-Fitr or Idul Fitri that come afterwards. Hehehe. *put a big smile on my face*

September, the greatest number nine, ever. My birthday is on 4th of September (Beyonce and I have the same birth date, btw. Teehee!), there's no way I can not love this month! To make it more memorable, Putri (my younger sister) and my parents also share the same birthday and anniversary month with me. Too much happiness :"D

And December, the final month that ends our 11 months journey on the year. I always love December because of its Christmas atmosphere. Although I'm not a Christian, having a nine years experience as a student of Catholic school, has taught me a lot about the religion & tradition, and most important thing: about humanity. I love to sing along to Christmas songs, Fall Out Boys' Yule Shoot Your Eye Out is my all-time favorite Christmas song!

Speaking about July, by far, this is the best month of 2011 (just like what I tweeted on Twitter yesterday). I said best, because it'd been a real roller coaster month from the beginning. There are sad news, surprises, midnight calls, pleasant memories, all in one package: JULY. The first two weeks weren't smooth. First, it was because Molen and Ryo, my most favorite duo announcer, left ClubSky. ClubSky is the regular night radio show on Trax FM, airs every Monday to Friday, from 10 PM-1 AM. I was shocked, I never thought that they would ever leave ClubSky... :'( Later I found out, it's only Molen who left the radio. Ryo is now pairing with Jimmy for Kompak Kampus, meanwhile ClubSky is under the command of Joey and Buluk.

Second, about university thingy. Some report of the final results were out, and truth be told, I wasn't pleased at all with it. I ain't a smarty pants, but I must say last semester's results are better than this semester's. To sum up all my feelings in one sentence, it would be: I am disappointed. I really am. But hey, it had happened, there's nothing I can do to change the past. By writing this, I promise I won't make the same mistake again in the upcoming semester. \m/

And surprises! Who doesn't love surprise? I do love it, and I bet you do, too. July brings too many surprises for me: both the countable and uncountable things (such as blessings from Him). I feel that July has offered more opportunities and open doors unlike any other six months before. I am blessed and more than happy to know that I got two big deals this month :""D the first, I was selected as one of 110 WTO delegates for Indonesia Model United Nations (IMUN), which will be held on October 3rd-5th, 2011. I was surprised, I didn't think that I could make it through. And for this, I am very thankful for You, dear God. And second, I was selected as a volunteer for Pekan Angklung Indonesia, together with Fani and Cindy! Yesterday was our first briefing at Pasaraya Grande Blok M, where we met other volunteers, made friends, and got a vivid background information of the whole event. Three of us, we chose to join the Publication division, and I really can't wait to complete the mission! Hehehe.

That's all I have for July. This is such a long post, isn't it? Hahaha. I am happy, like HAPPY, to have a memorable July 2011. It's always summer here, in the Indonesia, but I believe this year's summer won't be erased from my memories. And I can't be more thankful, I feel grateful for all your blessings, God :')

So I guess, see you when I see you, July. As for August, bring it on!
